The Opportunity

We're recruiting for a leading contractor delivering major SP Energy Networks (SPEN) projects across the Central Belt. Due to continued growth, they are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team in Central Belt Scotland.

This role offers hybrid working, long-term security, and the chance to work on large, complex energy and infrastructure projects.

Role Responsibilities

*

Commercial management of major SPEN projects (£1m-£20m+).

*

Assist with contract administration under NEC3 / NEC4.

*

Maintain cost control, forecasting, CVRs, and monthly reporting.

*

Prepare and negotiate subcontract packages and variations.

*

Manage compensation events, risk, and change control.

*

Work closely with site teams and engage with SPEN project stakeholders.

*

Support valuations, final accounts, and project financial governance.

What We're Looking For

*

Experience as a Quantity Surveyor in civils, utilities, energy, or infrastructure.

*

Strong understanding of NEC contracts.

*

Ability to manage commercial duties across live projects.

*

Confident communicator with good client-facing skills.

*

Strong analytical, forecasting, and reporting ability.

*

Full UK driving licence.

*

Able to work in Bathgate with flexibility for hybrid working.
