Full-time position for experienced medical biller to handle Accounts Receivable for our busy podiatric practice. Ideal candidate is a team player with a minimum of 1-2 years' medical billing experience. Duties include, but are not limited to:
Daily A/R, electronic filing of claims, data entry, scanning EOBs/checks, payment posting as needed, secondary & tertiary claims, and heavy follow-up on denied claims in accordance with contracted guidelines. May also be tasked with monthly statement runs, handling patient phone inquiries, correspondence, thorough account research, appeals, clearinghouse rejections, collections. High phone volume since primary duty is A/R, with good documentation and follow-up ability.
Strong time management skills and better-than-average customer service and communication skills required. Ability to get along well with others and a team-player mentality is essential. Must be able to pass a random drug test and a criminal background screen. No phone calls please.
