MTrec recruitment are recruiting a junior mechanical technician to join a well established and expanding manufacturing business based in the heart of Stockton.

This role will be a permanent day shift role and support a wider team of technicians in maintaining and repairing critical production equipment. If you meet the person specification below, apply now for an immediate response!

The Job you will do:

• Day to day maintenance that ensures the smooth and efficient running of the company premises and plant.
• To continually improve machine efficiency and reliability.
• To ensure the house keeping in the team working area is of the best possible standards, providing a safe, clean and tidy environment always.
• Consistently meeting daily targets.
• Ensuring the accuracy of data and the adherence to procedures and working practices by operatives operating computer systems and meeting the requirements of ISO9001.
• Operation of equipment necessary for the maintenance of Company premises and plant to the necessary quality and health and safety standards.
• The control of materials, tools and personal protective equipment used within the working environment.
• Observation of and improvements to the Health and Safety regulations relating to the tasks carried out.

About you:

• Level 2 NVQ Diploma in performing engineering operations
• Experience of working with Hydraulics, Pneumatics and basic electrical work.
• Ability to use a variety of hand tools
• A methodical approach to work, and strong problem-solving skills.
