We are working with a well-respected property services business that provides high-quality grounds maintenance for a variety of residential and public-sector sites. They are looking to appoint a proactive and experienced Grounds Maintenance Supervisor, in a more office based role. Ensuring contract service and delivery is meeting the expected standard. Therefore, good computer skills are necessary to be successful within this role.

About the Role:

As the Grounds Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading and motivating a dedicated grounds team to deliver a customer-focused, high-standard service. You will oversee contract delivery, manage performance, and drive continuous improvement in service delivery.

Key Duties:

*

Managing, coaching, and developing a team of grounds operatives, including recruitment, training, and performance management.

*

Planning, organising, and allocating workloads to meet contractual obligations and quality standards.

*

Monitoring and analysing performance data to ensure targets are met.

*

Ensuring all works are carried out safely, in compliance with health and safety policies, and with full adherence to relevant legislation (e.g. COSHH, risk assessments).

*

Overseeing the use, maintenance, and renewal of horticultural plant, vehicles, and other equipment.

*

Maintaining operational systems (digital/ICT) and ensuring accurate record keeping of works, costs, and resource usage.

*

Deputising for other supervisors when required.

*

Supporting a vision for innovation, driving digital adoption, and improving processes across the service.

What You Will Bring:

*

Previous experience managing a grounds maintenance or horticultural team, in a commercial or public-sector environment.

*

Proven experience in planning, delivering, and monitoring maintenance contracts.

*

Competency in using ICT systems and reporting tools.

*

A full, clean UK driving licence (a vehicle will be provided).

*

Horticultural, grounds maintenance or management qualification is desirable
