General Manager - Entertainment & Leisure Venue

The Role
Reporting directly to the Regional Operations Director, you'll take the lead in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of a busy entertainment and leisure venue. You'll make sure company procedures are followed, wage budgets are kept on track, and all departments deliver excellent service—safely, consistently, and to the highest standards.

As a hands-on leader, you'll set the tone for the entire site. You'll be on the floor during peak times—especially busy weekends and evenings—supporting your team, maintaining standards, and ensuring every guest has a brilliant experience. You'll coach and develop your people, foster a positive workplace culture, and play a key part in making the venue a fantastic place to work and visit.

* Minimum 3 years' experience in a senior management role (General Manager or Deputy General Manager).

* Background in hospitality, retail, entertainment, or leisure is highly desirable.

* Proven track record of managing high footfall, fast-paced environments with multiple departments.

Your Duties

* Lead the team to achieve departmental KPIs, including wage ratio and financial performance targets.

* Drive collaboration between departments to ensure stakeholder satisfaction and adherence to service level agreements.

* Oversee daily operations, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality service and safety in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

* Manage departmental budgets effectively, controlling costs while maximising profitability.

* Identify and develop new revenue opportunities to grow the business.

* Ensure compliance with all company policies, Health & Safety requirements, and relevant legislation to protect staff, guests, and the venue's reputation.

* Provide oversight and support to maintain consistency across all areas and prevent risks or accidents.

* Build a strong culture of people management through recruitment, training, performance management, and talent development.
