Senior Data Scientist - AI & Machine Learning - Consulting

A leading global data and AI consultancy is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join its London team, delivering advanced machine learning and analytics solutions for organisations across sectors including retail, telecoms, consumer goods, and private equity.

Working within multidisciplinary teams of data scientists, engineers, and consultants, you will design and deploy scalable AI solutions that address complex business challenges and drive real commercial impact.

The Role

• Design and implement advanced machine learning and data science solutions
  * Lead project workstreams, defining technical deliverables and timelines
  * Present insights and technical progress to senior client stakeholders
  * Mentor junior team members and review code and modelling approaches
  * Deploy scalable AI solutions using modern cloud platforms and MLOps practices

Skills & Experience

• Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field
  * Strong experience developing machine learning models (e.g. forecasting, NLP, clustering, gradient boosting)
  * Proficiency in Python, modern dataframe libraries (e.g. PySpark/Polars), and SQL
  * Experience with MLOps tools, experiment tracking, and automated model pipelines
  * Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
  * Familiarity with CI/CD, containerisation, and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform)

Desirable

• Master's or PhD in a quantitative field
  * Experience with parallelisation frameworks (e.g. PySpark or Ray)
  * Exposure to serverless cloud infrastructure (e.g. Lambda, Fargate)
