People AdvisorIpswich (Hybrid, 3 days office based, 2 from home)9-5pm £35,000 per annum Our client is seeking an experienced People Advisor to join their well-established and welcoming team. You will take ownership of your own areas of responsibility, while benefiting from the support and collaboration of colleagues, working together to deliver a high-quality, consistent HR service.Key Responsibilities
  • Offer clear and consistent advice to managers and employees on policies and procedures across multiple terms and conditions within the group.
  • Provide professional HR support, guidance, and coaching across a broad range of employee relations casework, including disciplinary, performance management, TUPE, restructures, redundancy, and absence management, up to and including dismissals and appeals.
  • Lead and manage safeguarding investigations, strategy meetings where required.
  • Coach and support line managers across the UK on employee relations matters, liaising with trade unions where appropriate.
  • Proactively oversee absence management cases in partnership with managers to help reduce overall absence levels.
  • Provide accurate procedural and policy guidance to colleagues and management teams.
  • Attend formal meetings as required, preparing and issuing relevant correspondence and documentation.
  • Contribute People Team updates, insights, and data to monthly Operational Managers’ meetings.
  • Identify training requirements and deliver HR-focused training sessions to line managers.
  • Maintain and manage HR systems, ensuring data accuracy and producing reports and statistics as required.
Person Specification
  • Proven experience managing a wide range of HR casework at Advisor level.
  • Experience using HR systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practice.
  • Strong ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, and relevant legislation.
  • Confident communicator, able to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.
  • Skilled in handling queries professionally and efficiently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and sensitive approach.
  • Highly organised, with strong prioritisation and workload management skills.
  • CIPD Level 3 qualification (or above).
