Enthusiastic Religious Education Teacher Wanted in Hammersmith & Fulham! Understanding Secondary School Location: Hammersmith & Fulham Role: Religious Education Teacher (Full-Time, Permanent)

Key Responsibilities:

* Deliver engaging and thought-provoking Religious Education lessons across Key Stages 3-4, and potentially A-Level, aiming to foster a deep understanding of different faiths, beliefs, and worldviews.

* Inspire students to develop empathy, knowledge, and a nuanced understanding of the diversity of religious and non-religious perspectives.

* Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and enhance the RE curriculum, promoting understanding and interfaith dialogue.

* Contribute to the assessment and monitoring of student progress in Religious Education.

* Foster a classroom environment that encourages open inquiry, respectful discussion, and the development of informed understanding.

Qualifications & Experience:

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

* Degree in Theology, Religious Studies, Sociology, Anthropology, or a related field with a focus on world religions.

* Proven experience teaching Religious Education at secondary level (ECTs welcome to apply).

* Strong subject knowledge across a broad range of religious and non-religious traditions, with a focus on promoting understanding.

* Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to facilitate discussions that promote understanding and empathy.

* A commitment to fostering an inclusive and understanding learning environment within a supportive setting.
