Are you a recent graduate passionate about supporting young people? A vibrant and ambitious secondary school in Ealing is recruiting for a full-time Graduate Teaching Assistant to join them for the full academic year starting September 2025.

This role is ideal for someone who is considering entering the teaching profession and wants to build their skills, confidence and classroom experience in a high-quality secondary setting.

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students with varying needs across a broad curriculum.

This is not a subject-specific role, so you will gain experience working across several departments and will receive full training on how to adapt your approach to different subjects and age groups. Core Duties and Responsibilities

Working under the direction of classroom teachers to support learners aged 11 to 16
Providing targeted academic support to students at risk of falling behind
Assisting pupils with additional learning needs and adapting materials to suit their needs
Supporting pupil progress in core subjects such as English, Maths and Science
Monitoring and recording student engagement and feeding into school-wide support strategies
Helping maintain a calm, productive and respectful learning environment
Collaborating with colleagues across the SEN and pastoral teams

Candidate Specification

A graduate from any subject area with a genuine interest in education and working with young people
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Emotional resilience, patience and empathy
Strong organisational skills and a willingness to learn
A commitment to safeguarding, equality and child protection
Experience working with young people in any setting (voluntary or paid) would be beneficial but not essential
