A large, diverse secondary school in the NG8 area of Nottingham is looking to appoint a Head of English who can lead with clarity, resilience and high expectations. The Ofsted rated 'Good' school serves over 800 students and is part of a multi-academy trust with a strong reputation for inclusion and transformation.

This role is ideal for a teacher or leader with proven impact, ready to shape curriculum, behaviour culture, and outcomes in a school where strong leadership makes a real difference.

About the Role:

Lead the strategic direction of the English faculty
Drive excellence in teaching and learning across KS3 and KS4
Support and develop a team of teachers, including line management and CPD
Ensure high standards of behaviour, engagement, and academic achievement
Take a key role in intervention strategies, assessment planning, and curriculum development
Collaborate with senior leaders on school improvement priorities
Uphold the Trust's inclusive values and play an active role in the wider communityThe Right Candidate Will:

Have QTS and successful experience teaching English across KS3/KS4
Demonstrate clear evidence of raising attainment in English
Bring strong behaviour management and a calm, authoritative presence
