Michael Page are working with a National construction business who are looking to bolster their internal audit team after an increase in scope. This is a great opportunity for a first time mover making their first step into internal audit.

The company is a reputable, nationally recognized construction firm with sites across the country. This role involves collaborating closely with the wider team to execute the annual audit plan, which spans multiple divisions. Each division encompasses various departments, including Commercial, Sales, Finance, Land, Technical, Construction, and Customer Services.
Description
- Conduct internal audits to assess the effectiveness of financial and operational controls.
- Identify areas for process improvement and recommend practical solutions.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and organisational standards.
- Prepare detailed reports outlining audit findings and suggested actions.
- Collaborate with various departments to implement audit recommendations.
- Monitor progress on corrective actions and provide updates to management.
- Assist in the development of risk management strategies.
- Support the accounting and finance team with ad-hoc projects as required.
Profile
A successful Internal Auditor should have:
- A relevant qualification in accounting, auditing, or finance
- Candidiates qualified in quantity surveying are highly desirable
- Experience in internal auditing or external audit within the construction industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in financial systems and auditing tools.
