About the Role:
We are seeking a Registered Manager to lead our warm and welcoming 4-bedded children's home in Colchester, supporting children aged 5-12 with SEMH needs. This is more than just a management role-it's a chance to change lives.
You'll oversee a dedicated team providing 1:1 care for each child, using a trauma-informed and individually tailored approach. Challenging and reactive behaviours are part of the job, but so is the opportunity to build meaningful, lasting change for children who need stability, support, and understanding.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the home
Ensure the highest standards of care, safeguarding, and compliance
Deliver a nurturing, trauma-informed environment tailored to individual needs
Support, develop, and inspire your team to grow and thrive
Share on-call duties as part of a supportive management network
About You:
Minimum 5 years' experience in children's residential settings
At least 2 years' management experience in a similar role
Hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (Residential Childcare)
Confident in working with challenging and reactive behaviours
Strong understanding of trauma and its impact on young people
Driver with access to a vehicle (preferred)
