Legal Cashier – Maternity Cover | Derby | Full Time |Competitive SalaryLegal Cashier – Maternity CoverA multi-service law firm based in Derby is seeking an experienced Legal Cashier to provide maternity cover in the accounts department. You will be working in a team consisting of the Finance and Systems Manager and Credit Control and Cashier Administrator.The ideal candidate will have a strong background and experience as a Legal Cashier, be able to work as part of a team but also independently using their own initiative and work to a high standard with excellent attention to detail. Knowledge of working with Partner for Windows would be an advantage.The accounts team are managed centrally at the Derby office, but support will have to be provided to all members of staff across all 4 sites. Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Office and client account postings
  • Processing completions
  • Processing and approving Bills
  • Making BACS, CHAPS and cheque payments
  • Process payment for all statements including Land Registry, Court Fee, conveyancing searches, etc
  • Nominal payments
  • Payments of expenses
  • Transfers
  • Answer account queries
  • Manage card payments/ online payments
  • Processing of any cash and cheques received.
Desirable Skills:
  • Knowledge of Partner for Windows
  • Knowledge of solicitor’s accounts rules
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Able to work on their own and use their initiative.
  • Good attention to detail and team working skills.
