Social Worker

Location: Priory House, Monks Walk, Chicksands, Shefford, SG17 5TQ

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Duration: 3+ Months

Working Hours: Mon - Fri, 09:00 - 17:00, 37 Hours per week

Pay Rate: £ 30.00 per hour

Responsibilities

Screen high-level contact referrals to ensure appropriate handling.

Analyze risk on safeguarding referrals and make informed recommendations regarding the level of support required for children and families.

Provide support and guidance to qualified and otherwise qualified workers, and supervise Referral and Advice Officers.

Lead workstreams or development programs within the team to enhance service delivery.

Handle court requests, liaise with other local authorities, and complete information requests as needed.

Person Specification

Strong analytical skills for assessing risk and determining support levels.

Experience in providing guidance and supervision to team members.

Ability to lead projects and workstreams effectively.

Excellent communication skills for liaising with external authorities and handling sensitive information.
