Excellent HGV Class 1 Driver Opportunities - Peterborough

Trunking

Join our reputable international haulage company as an HGV Class 1 Driver at our Peterborough. As a critical team member, you'll focus on ensuring that loads are transported securely depot to depot to one of our key retail clients

The Role

Carry out a mix of single and multi drop deliveries (typically up to 2 drops per shift) across England and Wales, collecting returns and equipment from stores as required, with no nights out

• Handle totes, rails and occasional pallets, ensuring safe and efficient loading and unloading procedures
• Maintain clear communication with the Depot Transport Office regarding any issues and deliver exemplary customer service by being polite and courteous at all times
• Operate company vehicles in a safe, legal, and efficient manner while ensuring required documents are completed accurately and on time

Position Highlights

• Trunking - depot to depot
• Morning Start Time - 4am to 6am
• Monday to Friday and weekends available
• Any 5 days from 7
• 1 or 2 store deliveries

Competitive Pay Rates

• Standard rates - £19 per hour Monday to Friday
• Weekends - the rate increase to £20 per hour
• Including holiday pay.

Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 1 driving license, CPC card, and Tachograph card
• 1+ years of commercial driving experience
• Clean driving record (maximum 6 points, no major endorsements)
• No DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT99 endorsements
