Equifind have partnered with a UK-based Investment Bank to recruit a Group Financial Accountant for their London team.

The Group Financial Accountant will act as a key liaison between finance and the wider business. The role requires a strong mix of technical expertise, commercial acumen, and interpersonal skills to deliver financial analysis, strategic guidance, and support to senior management and department heads.

Key Duties Include:

  • Manage monthly financial close, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and statutory year-end reporting
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis across key business units
  • Partner with non-finance stakeholders, providing insight and challenge
  • Deliver financial analysis and modelling to support commercial decision-making
  • Drive process improvements and strengthen reporting controls
  • Contribute to ad-hoc projects including systems upgrades, M&A, and integration work
  • Present financial information in a clear, concise way to senior leadership

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Qualified accountant (preferably audit-trained)
  • 3+ years’ experience in an audit or finance function
  • Solid understanding of IFRS reporting standards
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate finance for non-finance stakeholders
  • Advanced Excel and modelling skills
  • Commercially astute, with proven business awareness

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base salary: £60–70,000
