Senior Quantity Surveyor- Tier 1 main contractor - Poplar

Salary: £75,000 - £95,000 + package (dependent on experience)

A Tier 1 main contractor with a very busy 2026 pipeline is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team to work on a large-scale Cut & Carve project based in Central/East London. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with two-stage procurement experience who has worked for leading contractors previously to secure a position which allows you to run a prestigious project from the offset.

The ideal candidate would have experience of leading schemes of £25m + from PCSA stage while managing a small team of assistant/project QS'. In order to attract the right people my client is happy to offer a package increase of 5-10% as justified by experience.

- Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor

- Project: Cut & Carve Commercial scheme in Central London

- Location: Poplar

- Salary: £75,000 - 95,000 + package (dependent on experience)

- Start: ASAP but can wait for the right persons notice period

- Type: Permanent

Responsibilities

- Manage procurement and subcontractor packages

- Handle valuations, variations, and progress payments

- Support project reporting and cost forecasting

- Attend site and progress meetings with the wider team

- Lead the successful commercial delivery of the project

Requirements

- Previous experience in lead/senior surveyor role or time served Project QS' looking for a step up

- Two-stage procurement experience

- Full commercial lifecycle experience

- Tier 1 contractor experience

- Confident communicator with a proactive approach
