Nursery Practitioner

In the heart of the London, Westminster, an ‘outstanding’ rated nursery are looking for a Nursery Practitioner to join their successful setting.

Close to transport links and in a spacious building set over three floors, you will nurture the children and ensure their safety, well-being, and development. Following a creative curriculum, there is a wide range of activities to engage in, from cooking, yoga, and climbing, to fun maths games and woodwork. There is something for everyone and lots more besides!

You will be joining an experienced team who work together in building rich, colourful, ideas and experiences for the children.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure that all children attending the nursery receive stimulating experiences which contribute to their stage of development
• Support the Room Leader in planning and implementing the curriculum
• Build positive working relationships with the team, Parents and Carers, with open and clear communication
• Uphold the nursery’s high standards, following company policies, procedures and operating practices
• Mentor more junior members of the room staff so they can grow and develop their capabilities

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Hold a relevant and recognised childcare qualification at level 3 or above
• Have significant experience of working with children in a nursery setting
• Excellent verbal communication skills, with colleagues, parents, carers and children
• Good organisational, record keeping and planning skills
• Able to work as part of a sociable team
