HGV Class 2 Day Driver

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Birmingham, Aston, WEST MIDLANDS.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay and room to grow and progress.

Shifts:

• Monday - Friday: start times between 03:00 and 06:00

Rates of pay:

• £16.00 per hour

Day to Day Duties:

Your duties as a HGV Class 2 Driver will involve but not be limited to:

• Store Deliveries which will involve handballing
• Operate and drive various Category C vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly
• Adhere to traffic laws and regulations
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
• Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
• Assist with loaded and unloading of cargo as needed
• Use of electric or manual pump truck 
• Tail lift usage
• Normally 7-8 deliveries/collections

Essential Skills:

As a HGV Class 2 Driver you will need to:

• Hold a valid UK Category C Licence
• Have a minimum of 24 months experience driving Category C vehicles
• No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes
• Have a valid UK CPC Card & UK Digi Card
• Must be able to speak and read a good level of English
• Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills
• Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
• Effective communication skills

Desirable Experience:

• Experience driving any commercial vehicles would be beneficial
• Previous experience in multi drop experience will be beneficial

Training:

• Industry related training provided around processes and procedures with ongoing support without
