Job Title: Quality Assurance Manager
Location: Lincolnshire

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and driven Quality Assurance Manager to oversee the effective implementation and continuous improvement of our Quality Systems within our Packing Centre. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food safety, quality, and compliance are consistently achieved.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead and manage the site Quality Assurance function, ensuring full compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements

* Maintain and continuously improve QA systems and procedures in line with the Quality Manual and HACCP plan

* Oversee site audits (internal and external), ensuring readiness and successful outcomes

* Manage document control, traceability, calibration, and environmental monitoring systems

* Monitor and report on site KPIs and quality performance to the senior management team

* Take ownership of the Asda scorecard and drive continuous improvement

* Lead investigations into complaints and implement corrective actions

* Ensure compliance with DEFRA and support inspections, including unannounced visits

* Oversee pest control and hygiene standards, promoting a strong “clean as you go” culture

* Ensure all equipment is maintained, calibrated, and fit for purpose

* Lead, coach, and develop the QA team, identifying training needs and driving performance

* Support and help lead the Hygiene team to maintain high site standards

* Ensure Health & Safety standards are upheld within the department

About You

* Proven experience in a Quality Assurance leadership role within food manufacturing or FMCG

* Strong working knowledge of HACCP, food safety standards, and quality systems

* Experience managing audits and working with major retailers (e.g. Asda)

* Excellent leadership and team development skills

* Strong attention to detail with a proactive, problem-solving mindset

* Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

* Confident communicator, capable of engaging with stakeholders at all levels
