HGV Class 2 Diver

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Uttoxeter.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay and genuine opportunities for growth and progression.

Shifts:

• Monday to Friday: 7am start times

Rates of Pay:

• £16.75 per hour basic
• £18.00 per hour after 40 hours

Day-to-Day Duties:

As a HGV Class 2 Driver, your duties will include (but not be limited to):

• Loading and unloading refrigeration equipment( There is handball involved)
• Working with a Driver’s Mate to safely deliver and install equipment at retail and event sites
• Completing multi-drop deliveries and collections across the UK
• Managing delivery and collection paperwork using company systems
• Adhering to all company, customer, and regulatory health and safety requirements
• Providing excellent customer service during all site interactions

Essential Skills:

To be successful as a HGV Class 2 Driver, you will need:

• A valid UK Category C Licence
• A valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• At least  twelve months’ experience driving Category C vehicles
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no major endorsements)
• Good spoken and written English
• Punctuality and excellent timekeeping
• A solid understanding of traffic laws and safe driving regulations
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Desirable Experience:

• Previous commercial driving experience
• Experience in multi-drop deliveries

Training:

• Full paid induction and ongoing support provided throughout the assignment
