Maintenance Engineer

£40,000 per annum + benefits
Rotating shifts: 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm (Mon-Fri)
Location: Featherstone

Concept Recruitment is recruiting a Maintenance Engineer for a well-established food manufacturing business in Featherstone. This is a full-time, permanent role offering long-term stability within a busy FMCG environment.

This position would suit a mechanically or electrically biased engineer with experience in manufacturing or packaging, looking for a stable Monday-Friday role with no nights.

The Role

You'll play a key part in reducing downtime and supporting production through a mix of reactive and planned maintenance, working closely with production teams.

Key responsibilities include:

* Planned and reactive maintenance on production and packing equipment

* Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults

* Responding quickly to breakdowns to minimise downtime

* Carrying out machine adjustments, size changes, and set-ups

* Completing PPMs and maintenance documentation

* Supporting continuous improvement and occasional project work

* Working safely at all times and following site procedures

What We're Looking For

* NVQ Level 3 / ONC in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

* Experience in FMCG, food, or packaging environments preferred

* Comfortable working with mechanical and basic electrical systems

* Experience with packaging machinery is advantageous (training provided)

* Proactive mindset and strong fault-finding ability

* Good communication and decision-making skills
