Financial Controller

* Location: Newcastle upon Tyne

* Permanent staff position

* Salary: £55,000 per annum

* Hours Mon-Fri, 9-5 (Flexible working available)

We're looking for a commercially focused Financial Controller to join a growing manufacturing SME and play a key role on the Senior Leadership Team.

This isn't just a reporting role. You'll partner with the MD, drive profitability, strengthen financial governance, and lead a small, capable finance team.

What you'll be doing:

* Lead the finance function end-to-end

* Drive manufacturing costing & margin performance

* Oversee monthly reporting, statutory accounts & VAT

* Manage cashflow forecasting & invoice finance

* Develop and mentor a Finance Business Partner & Assistant

What we're looking for:

* ACA / ACCA / CIMA (or QBE)

* 5-10 years' experience in manufacturing or stock-led environments

* Strong standard costing & absorption knowledge

* Advanced Excel & ERP skills (SAGE a bonus)

* Hands-on, commercially sharp, sleeves-rolled-up mindset
