Looking for a field-based engineering role within the highways and infrastructure sector? We're recruiting a Technician to support structural testing and inspections of highway electrical assets across the UK. This is a practical role suited to someone who enjoys working outdoors, travelling to sites, and contributing to the safety and compliance of critical public infrastructure.

About the Client:

We're supporting a well-established UK infrastructure and engineering organisation delivering specialist services across highways, electrical assets, and public sector infrastructure projects. The company has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality maintenance and inspection services while investing in training and development for its technical teams.

What You'll Be Doing:

* Carrying out structural testing and inspections on highway electrical assets including lighting columns and signage structures* Travelling to project sites across the UK to complete testing works* Recording inspection results and completing digital or written reports* Identifying structural defects or safety issues and reporting findings to engineering teams* Supporting maintenance teams with asset condition assessments* Ensuring all work is carried out in line with health and safety standards and industry regulations

What We Need From You:

* Experience working within highways, utilities, infrastructure, or electrical environments* Comfortable working outdoors and travelling to multiple sites* Strong understanding of site health and safety procedures* 18th Edition Qualification * Full UK driving licence* Right to work in the UK
