A private equity-backed business is looking for an experienced Interim Group Financial Controller to join from the beginning of September. The appointment is to cover a gap while a permanent hire is recruited — and if you’re interested, there is the potential to be considered for the role on a permanent basis.
You’ll join a well-established finance function and benefit from a structured handover from the outgoing Financial Controller. It’s a high-performing environment with strong leadership in place — ideal for someone who can bring clarity, consistency, and structure.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead a team of four across the UK and internationally

Manage group-level financial reporting and consolidation across multiple global entities

Oversee FX consolidation, covenant reporting, and group cashflow forecasting

Take the lead on external audit and ensure compliance with IFRS and regulatory standards

Manage corporate tax compliance and oversee group transfer pricing

Support post-acquisition accounting and alignment across entities

Maintain and improve financial systems – including ownership of NetSuite and reporting tools
The Ideal Candidate:
You’ll be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with significant post-qualification experience in senior-level roles. A track record of operating in complex, multi-entity international businesses is essential, alongside hands-on experience in:

Group consolidation and reporting (both statutory and management)

Leading and developing finance teams

Managing audits, tax compliance, and transfer pricing in a global context

Driving structure and improvement across systems and reporting processes
Strong systems experience (NetSuite ideal), a collaborative mindset, and a steady, proactive approach will all be important.
