Year 4 Supply Teacher – Grimsby & Surrounding Areas

Location: Grimsby

Job Type: Flexible Supply (Mon–Fri)

Pay: £135–£170 per day

Are you a confident, adaptable primary teacher who loves supporting pupils at that exciting “middle of KS2” stage?

We’re looking for an enthusiastic supply teacher to work across welcoming primary schools in the Grimsby area—delivering pre-planned lessons, inspiring pupils, and enjoying the flexibility that supply teaching offers.

If you enjoy creating structured, engaging learning environments and helping Year 4 pupils grow in confidence and independence, this could be the perfect role for you.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Teaching KS2 classes with pre-planned lessons ready for you

• Leading confident, positive classroom routines

• Creating an inclusive learning environment where pupils feel supported and ready to learn

• Delivering key curriculum areas such as times tables fluency, formal written methods, comprehension, reasoning, and topic work

• Building great relationships with staff and pupils in a variety of school settings

• Working flexibly, from short-term cover to longer placements

• Confident stepping into KS2 classrooms and hitting the ground running

• Passionate about KS2 learning, progression, and wellbeing

• Skilled in behaviour management and promoting positive attitudes

• Adaptable, reliable, and committed to safeguarding

• Able to build quick, positive rapport with Y4 pupils

What You’ll Need:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Experience teaching in UK primary schools (Year 4 or KS2 experience essential)

• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

• Strong behaviour and classroom management skills

• Excellent communication and organisational abilities
