BMS Design Engineer - Join a Business That's Actually Growing

My client is a growing and forward-thinking business shaping the future of BMS and Energy Management systems-and they're looking for a strong BMS Design Engineer to join the team.

This role involves delivering detailed BMS designs and helping shape project engineering strategies on medium to large-scale projects. You'll need a solid understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, and be comfortable taking ownership of the design from start to finish.

You'll be responsible for:

Interpreting specifications and developing full BMS system designs

Producing panel and hardware layouts, software strategies, and graphics

Defining installation and commissioning scope

Supporting with technical pre-sales, if needed

We're looking for someone who:

Knows their way around BMS design and delivery from spec to handover

Has hands-on experience with systems like Siemens, Trend, Honeywell, etc.

Can work independently and problem-solve on complex jobs

Understands how buildings actually work, mechanically and electrically

Is confident in software architecture, panel design, and integration

Ideally has experience leading small engineering teams or coordinating with subbies

Requirements:

HNC or above in a relevant field

Proven industry experience across building automation and controls

Strong technical knowledge across HVAC, BMS, power control and stand-alone systems

Comfortable carrying out site surveys on live plant

Good communication skills able to work with clients and suppliers alike
