As a Housing Contract Manager, you will be instrumental in overseeing housing contracts for the Council. This position is based within the Place Service and reports directly to the Service Manager Contracts. Your primary responsibilities will include developing, implementing, and maintaining robust performance management processes for all housing-related service contracts. This role is crucial in supporting the City Mayor's priorities by embedding social value and ensuring continuous service improvement.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain performance management processes for Housing PFI, Supported Housing, and the council's local housing company.
Prepare monthly performance monitoring reports, identifying critical issues and suggesting contractual remedies.
Collaborate with colleagues to identify service priorities and inform procurement plans.
Lead the development of new funding opportunities and coordinate the procurement of service contracts/SLAs.
Analyze information to produce briefing papers that inform decision-making and service priorities.
Implement contractual remedies for breaches and monitor the delivery of remediation plans.
Conduct health checks on schemes and recommend service improvements or contract extensions.
Support activities related to contract expiry and the mobilisation of new service contracts.What We Need From You

Proven experience in managing housing contracts and understanding KPIs and contract performance.
Excellent verbal, written, numerical, strategic, and analytical skills, including report writing and policy paper preparation.
Ability to meet tight deadlines, work under pressure, and prioritise workload effectively.
Strong project/programme management skills and stakeholder management abilities.
In-depth knowledge of housing issues at city, regional, and national levels.
Experience in procuring contracts and developing service specifications.
