We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer with a strong background in water treatment and MEICA (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control & Automation) systems to join our growing engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on critical water infrastructure projects that make a real difference to communities and the environment.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead electrical design and engineering activities for water treatment and wastewater projects

* Develop electrical schematics, control panel layouts, and instrumentation diagrams

* Specify and select electrical equipment including motors, drives, switchgear, and control systems

* Design and implement SCADA systems and HMI interfaces for water treatment processes

* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, process, and civil engineers

* Manage project timelines, budgets, and technical deliverables

* Conduct site surveys, factory acceptance tests, and commissioning activities

* Ensure compliance with water industry standards, electrical regulations, and health & safety requirements

* Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies throughout project lifecycle

* Mentor junior engineers and support business development activities

Essential Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline

* Minimum 3-5 years' experience in electrical engineering within the water/wastewater sector

* Strong knowledge of MEICA systems and water treatment processes

* Experience with PLC programming (Siemens, Allen Bradley, or similar)

* Proficiency in electrical design software (AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or equivalent)

* Understanding of UK electrical standards (BS 7671, IET Wiring Regulations)

* Knowledge of water industry standards (AMP framework, UKWIR guidelines)

* Chartered Engineer status (CEng) or working towards chartership

* Full UK driving licence
