Peace Recruitment is hiring on behalf of a well known, leading independent construction consultancy who are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its Edinburgh team. With a first class reputation for delivering complex, high-value projects to exceptional standards, this firm offers an opportunity to work with major clients across commercial, residential, education, healthcare, and mixed-use developments in Scotland.

The Opportunity

This role will see you providing full pre & post contract cost management services - from early feasibility advice through to final account. You'll work as part of a well-respected team, engaging directly with clients, influencing key decisions, and helping to set projects up for long-term success.

Key Responsibilities

* Prepare cost plans, estimates, and tender documentation to the highest professional standard

* Lead procurement processes and provide contractual and commercial guidance

* Deliver robust financial management to ensure projects remain on time and on budget

* Advise clients at senior level, providing strategic cost and risk insight

* Mentor junior colleagues, supporting their professional growth and development

What We're Looking For

* BSc in Quantity Surveyor, ideally chartered (MRICS) or progressing towards

* Proven consultancy or client-side experience with strong technical knowledge

* Expertise in JCT and NEC contracts, with an ability to navigate complex commercial issues

* Confident communicator with excellent client-facing skills

* Ambitious, professional, and committed to continuous improvement
