SALARY: From £45,000 to £55,000 per annum salary tbd based on relevant experie

Our client is a leader in the installation of M + E works, HVAC systems and Ducting into high tech facilities such as the nuclear, pharmaceutical, power, W2E and life science construction. Due to expansion within the business they are looking for a Compliance Manager to join their nuclear division at Sellafield.

The candidate will be establishing inspections and testing criteria for all products and services and communicate these across the installation team and supply chain.

Implement the established compliance regime and project specific requirements.

Liaison with client quality representatives where necessary in order to support and achieve handover.

Witness inspections and tests at supplier premises to ensure product and project compliance.

Release products from suppliers ensuring project requirements are met including LTR package acceptance.

The candidate will fulfil the responsibility for developing, implementing and maintaining standard operating procedures for use by the local installation team.

Establish minimum inspection and test criteria for all products and services and communicate these across the installation team. These requirements to be implemented ensuring project specific requirements are met.

Manage and conduct inspections and tests during installation, generating appropriate records and, final sign-off / handover of the completed installation.

Manage and witness inspection and test for associated equipment at the supplier’s premises.

Provide support and training for managing and conducting inspections and tests during the installation.

The candidate will need to demonstrate a knowledge of quality, environmental and health and safety standards and industry specifications for ductwork construction and associated ventilation equipment.

Ability to continually develop the company Management Systems by ensuring compliance with the latest National and European legislation, standards and specifications.

Computer literate.

Good written and verbal communication skills.

Detailed knowledge of commonly used inspection and test techniques including QA/QC knowledge and managing the handover process.

The ability to communicate at all levels of the company, with suppliers/sub-contractors and clients resolving issues in a timely cost-effective manner. Reporting to the Quality Manager and local project management.

Our client is offering a salary of up to £50,000 per annum to be based on site at Sellafield. However, they will also offer the role to someone based close to their head office in Bury, Lancashire, which will include a 15% uplift (up to £7.5K) plus a living away allowance.
