My client, a specialist, UK based Engineering and Environmental Consultancy, is searching for a Flood Risk Consultant to join a supportive Team based in Merthyr Tydfil.
It is essential that applicants have a strong academic background including a MSc and/or BSc in Hydrology, Geography, Environmental Management or Civil Engineering and experience completing Flood Risk Projects throughout University and experience using AutoCAD or GIS Software.
Applicants are required to have experience working for a UK based Consultancy completing flood risk assessments or drainage strategies or GIS Mapping or EIA.
It is also beneficial for applicants to have a valid driving license and a keen interest in flood risk, hydrology or drainage.
This exciting opportunity will offer the chance to join a bespoke team based in Merthyr Tydfil. You will have the opportunity to complete varied Hydrological, Surface Water, Flood Risk and Drainage Projects for Private Sector Clients, Local Authorities and Housing Developers.
As a Flood Risk Consultant you will be required to complete technical work including Flood Risk Assessments and Flood Consequence Assessments for Planning Applications for flood zone 1,2 and 3, Flood Mapping using ArcGIS, Flood Estimation using ReFH, Surface Water Management Plans and Drainage Strategies.
Candidates will also be required to liaise with Clients and work from the office a few days a week. Flexible working available.
