Are you ready to lead impactful change in substance misuse services? Suffolk County Council is seeking a confident, experienced Programme Manager to oversee the delivery of key drug and alcohol initiatives, including our community treatment contract and improvement plans.

This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in improving the lives of people affected by drug and alcohol issues, while working as part of a dynamic Public Health and Communities team. You will lead system-wide improvements, influence key partners, and help deliver the Government's 10-year Drug Strategy through Suffolk's Combatting Drugs Partnership.

About the Role

As Programme Manager, you will:

Lead the delivery of the drug and alcohol community treatment contract and its improvement plan
Drive strategic interventions for people with alcohol addictions
Support the delivery of Suffolk's responsibilities under the national Drug Strategy
Collaborate with stakeholders across local authorities, NHS, voluntary sector, and other partners
Manage complex programmes and budgets, influence policy, and deliver results

What You'll Bring

We're looking for someone with:

Substantial experience leading complex programmes in public health or a related field
Strong leadership, influencing, and project management skills
In-depth knowledge of substance misuse strategies, commissioning, and service improvement
Ability to deliver system-wide change with compassion, insight, and evidence-based practice
A relevant postgraduate qualification or equivalent experience
