Nursery Room Leader – Up to £34,000 | Full-Time

Our client is a highly respected and welcoming early years setting, nestled in acres of beautiful private woodland. The nursery provides a nurturing, child-led approach where curiosity is encouraged and children are given space to explore, play and thrive.

 

They are now looking for an experienced Nursery Room Leader to take the lead in their toddler room, guiding a passionate team and supporting children through their next stage of development. This is a full-time role, with hours worked across 4 or 5 days, offering flexibility to suit your lifestyle.

 

This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated Early Years professional to take the next step in a supportive and inspiring setting that truly values its team.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Level 3 qualification in Early Years or equivalent (essential)
  • Proven experience in a nursery or early years setting, ideally with leadership responsibilities
  • A genuine love for working with toddlers and a strong understanding of their developmental needs
  • Confident with EYFS and safeguarding practices
  • Warm, patient, and inclusive with excellent communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the toddler room team to deliver engaging, high-quality learning experiences
  • Foster strong, trusting relationships with children, families and colleagues
  • Maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment that supports each child’s individual development
  • Champion the EYFS framework, ensuring planning and assessment is consistent, meaningful and child-led
  • Contribute to a positive and professional workplace culture, mentoring junior staff and supporting training
  • Work collaboratively with senior leaders to ensure excellence across the setting
