I am working with a global firm, looking to recruit a Data Protection Lawyer to join its expanding team in Dublin.

The firm is seeking a talented individual to help shape and develop its new office, with a particular focus on data protection and GDPR matters. The firm is known for advising high-profile clients on cutting-edge legal issues. This role offers the chance to work on multi-jurisdictional projects, gaining international exposure and the opportunity to speak at key industry events.

The Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing practice in Ireland and work closely with senior partners and fee earners across its international network. You will be involved in advising on a range of data protection matters, from compliance issues to data breach management, and will have the chance to develop a specialist practice in areas such as children's privacy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advising clients on a wide range of data protection matters including GDPR implementation and compliance, data breach management and data subject rights
• Supporting clients with data transfer challenges, data protection litigation and operationalisation of compliance measures
• Collaborating with internal teams across multiple jurisdictions on multi-jurisdictional projects
• Attending and speaking at global industry events, focusing on key topics like children's privacy

Requirements:

• Strong understanding of data protection legal regimes in Ireland and the EU, with significant experience in regulatory and compliance work
• Proven experience in data protection either in a comparable law firm or in-house environment, ideally at a senior level
• Enthusiastic about contributing to the development of a growing team and shaping the future of the practice
• Excellent communication skills and a willingness to take on client-facing responsibilities
