Job Type: Permanent, FullTime

Salary: £65000 - £75000/annum 20% bonus and equity

This role is for a UK leading energy storage solutions and eMobility company, to be based commutable to London 2-3 days a week.

This position is 50% UK orientated and 50% international markets.

You will be deriving the international BD strategy for expanding the companies offerings and solutions into new and pre-existing markets.

The type of candidate the company is looking for will have a good understanding of the UK's electricity markets (battery storage applications experience are a plus), will have a proven experience of working within client-facing and liaising positions within either electricity and energy markets, and have the capability and credibility to develop projects.

You will be working with the Directors and other members of the BD team, the candidate will be able to manage the day-to-day aspects of the sales process from origination to contract closure. The role integrates with team members in finance, legal, engineering, and construction to put together complex, high-value business cases or bids, and negotiate contracts.

The role includes liaising with clients and external stakeholders. A key part of this role will be supporting local partners and local teams on international projects in North America and Australian markets. The candidate will shape the international expansion strategy and delivery of this strategy.

Responsibilities include;

* Identifying and developing new opportunities in strategic markets

* Developing strategic partnerships to support the growth internationally

* Building financial models with the support of supply chain and finance teams

* Understanding the impact of regulatory requirements and various applications (trading, ancillary services, balancing mechanism) on each project's and client's business case

* Building proposals to submit into tenders

* Excellent technical experience and knowledge on a variety of technologies, which may include; Gas Peaking Plants, Onshore & Offshore Wind, Solar PV, Battery Storage, eMobility, CHP, Power Generation.

* Following the above point, the candidate must be able to converse without issue on the above technologies with clients so they may be able to efficiently inform clients about the relevant solutions that may be applicable.

Must-haves include;

* Between 5-15 years experience across strategy, commercial, business development, tenders, bids, and proposals in either electricity, energy, or distributed energy market experience in the UK and internationally is a plus

* Strong commercial and strategy skills - has to be comfortable with bids, tenders, proposals, and project financing

* Must have bids, tendering and proposals experience following all of the above points
