Logistics /Transport Assistant - £26,000 pa -£29,000 pa + 10% bonus + benefits- Staines TW18. Mon - Friday. Hybrid working (1-2 days in the office), We would consider full-time or part-time hours.

26k-29k + benefits - parking available on site and a short walk from the mainline train station.

Position Overview for the Logistics/Transport Assistant Role:

The Logistics Assistant supports the smooth day-to-day coordination of inbound international shipments and domestic transport activities. The role ensures accurate administration, timely delivery tracking, and effective communication with suppliers, freight forwarders, and warehouses. By maintaining up-to-date transport records and supporting cost monitoring, the position contributes to operational efficiency and reliable product availability across the business. Key Responsibilities for the Logistics Assistant:

  • Supporting coordination of international inbound shipments to the UK
  • Booking and monitoring transport with external logistics providers
  • Organising internal warehouse transfers and sample shipments
  • Maintaining accurate shipment records, delivery schedules and transport data in the system
  • Monitoring transportation costs and supporting basic cost control activities
  • Communicating with international suppliers, freight forwarders and warehouses
  • Supporting logistics reporting and administrative activities
  • Ensuring compliance with company procedures and transport regulations

Skills for the Logistics/Transport Assistant Role:

  • Previous experience in logistics, transport, supply chain or an operations support role
  • Strong organisational skills and good attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload
  • Good communication skills and confidence working with external partners
  • Comfortable working with data and updating systems accurately
  • Proactive and problem-solving mindset
  • Ability to cope under pressure
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
  • Proactive attitude and willingness to learn
