One of the largest full service law firms in the world is looking for an established and assured Senior Client Development Manager, to provide support to their Energy & Infrastructure practice, dealing with some of the world's top businesses and working alongside some of the world's leading lawyers.

The firm's Business Development and Marketing team is a collegiate, international and client-focused team that encourages innovation and commerciality. It is highly valued by the partnership, and works in a collaborative way with the business in supporting the firm's global growth. . The firm has placed sectors as the central pillar of its global market strategy, and Energy & Infrastructure is one of the two largest sectors in the firm globally, so this role offers an excellent opportunity to lead the business development activities for a strategically important market. The sector includes Energy, Water, Transport and Social Infrastructure and the role will be highly international in scope, with responsibility for client and business development in all markets outside of the US. With line management responsibility for a Business Development Manager and Client Development Executive, the role holder will take a lead role on client strategy, including taking personal ownership of a portfolio of priority accounts to develop with the client partners. This will include client-facing roles and collaborating with practice group, international marketing and pitch team colleagues in developing some of the firm's most important international relationships. The Senior Client Development Manager will be expected to work closely with the international head of Energy & Infrastructure and sub-sector heads on delivering a three year strategy for growth and investment across the sector, including client, market and practice strategy across the sector. The successful applicant will also be responsible for the identification and interpretation of market and client trends and converting them into client-facing actions and in collaborative product development with Practice Group marketing colleagues.

You will have a strong academic record or equivalent allied to extensive client development experience gained in an international professional services environment to include proven experience developing a coherent multi-practice and multi-jurisdictional strategy for developing complex corporate client relationships. Whilst previous Energy & Infrastructure experience is highly desirable, a demonstrable interest in the sector and intellectual curiosity about the global Energy & Infrastructure market is prerequisite. A commercial attitude, ability to develop relationships and capacity to use influencing skills to gain credibility across all levels within the firm are essential qualities. The Senior Client Development Manager must also possess a strong ability to act decisively in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on delivery and outputs, and a clear vision for moving client relationships up the value chain.
