Finance Manager, 12 Month FTC, Media, Central London, Paying up to £60k

We have a really interesting role within a large Media network for a Finance Manager with a mixture of BAU and Project work. As Finance Manager one of your key responsibilities will be to onboard a new agency within the network and in line with Group processes and procedures

The Finance Manager will be required to perform the following tasks:

  • Finalise period-end processing for both the P&L and Balance Sheet including the preparation, review and sign-off of figures
  • Production of key management information
  • Provide insightful commentary & Variance analysis
  • Responsibility for preparing and monitoring of KPI's to monitor future performance
  • Investigate and resolve media expense related discrepancies and related enquiries
  • Review aged receivables and related account balances
  • Escalate collection of debt via provision or write off        
  • Post accruals for unposted Intracompany and Intercompany charges
  • Review and sign off Intracompany and Intercompany reconciliations
  • Review and approve draft Intracompany and Intercompany billing
  • Main point of contact for internal and external audits
  • Management review and approval of payroll
  • Responsible for cashflow forecast
  • Review and approve all related bank reconciliations

As well as the day to day tasks above you'll also be responsible for:

  • The winding down of a legal entity and related balance sheet accounts while also being the key point of contact with both Internal and External auditors. 
  • The Finance Manager will also be responsible for the monthly reporting of a new entity being integrated into the Group. 
  • This Finance Manager will work closely with our Commercial Trading teams to ensure that balances are accurate and that media bookings are added to the system in good time to ensure accurate reporting.

You will need to be/have:

  • Qualified accountant (e.g. ACA, CIMA, ACCA)
  • Detail orientated
  • Experience of leading audits and preparing statutory accounts
  • Prior experience of the Media industry is desirable but not essential
  • A self-starter who can work both on their own and as part of a team
  • You will need to be a Good communicator and have experience of managing stakeholders at all levels
