We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Wolverhampton. This full-time position is scheduled to begin in May 2026 and offers the possibility of a permanent role for the successful candidate.

The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils with additional learning needs and helping them engage with the curriculum. Your responsibilities will include:

* Providing one-to-one and small group support for pupils with a variety of special educational needs

* Supporting the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons

* Adapting learning activities and resources to suit individual learning and behavioural needs

* Encouraging independence, confidence, and active participation in classroom activities

* Working closely with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure consistent support for pupils

The Ideal Candidate

* Graduates or final-year students from any academic background are encouraged to apply

* Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN is beneficial but not essential, as training will be provided

* A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach when supporting pupils with additional needs
