Team Manager

Location: Tipping Street, ST16 2DH

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Duration: 3+ months

Working Hours: Mon - Fri, 09:00 - 17:00, 37 Hours per week

Pay Rate: £ 32.76 per hour

Job Responsibilities

Lead and manage a team of social workers and family practitioners.

Ensure the team meets statutory responsibilities for children's safeguarding.

Provide professional leadership and direction to the team.

Oversee daily practice and safe work allocation.

Promote effective professional practice and supervision.

Identify and implement service improvements.

Address complaints and complex case inquiries.

Collaborate with various boards and partnerships.

Share information with partners to support child safeguarding.

Manage resources, staff, and budget effectively.

Person Specifications

Must Have

Professional social work qualification.

Registration with Social Work England (SWE).

Experience at a senior level within a local authority.

Experience managing social workers in a team.

Knowledge of relevant children's social care legislation.

Ability to manage budgets effectively.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Problem-solving skills.

Commitment to equality and anti-discriminatory practice.

Enhanced DBS clearance.

Nice to Have

Additional professional qualification in a related area.

Management qualification or equivalent experience.

Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams.

Ability to lead service change and improvements.

Experience working in partnership with organizations.

Ability to influence decision-makers.

Ability to prioritize and delegate work effectively.
