Finance Business Partner / FInance Manager

Permanent | £Competitive + Car Allowance + Benefits

We are hiring a Finance Manager for the LNER contract, managing all financial activities, reporting, and client relationships.

You'll operate across dual period-ends (12 internal, 13 client-side), requiring strong systems knowledge and exceptional organisation.

Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, you'll be deep in the detail while maintaining a macro view of contract performance. Direct client contact and commercial partnership are central to this role.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management:

* Lead month-end close for internal and client reporting cycles

* Produce P&L, balance sheet reconciliations, and cash flow forecasting

* Deliver management accounts with detailed variance analysis and commentary

* Monitor contract profitability and flag risks/opportunities

Forecasting & Analysis:

* Build robust forecasts and scenario models across the contract

* Lead annual budgeting and provide rolling forecasts

* Conduct deep-dive profitability analysis across revenue streams and cost centres

* Support commercial discussions with financial insight

Client & Stakeholder Management:

* Primary finance contact for LNER - build strong relationships with client counterpart

* Present financial reports confidently to client and internal stakeholders

* Collaborate across operations, commercial, procurement, and supply chain teams

Systems & Improvement:

* Maintain accurate data in MS Dynamics 365/SAP

* Identify process improvements and ensure robust financial controls

Essential Requirements:

* ACCA/CIMA qualified or final stages

* Finance Manager or Controller experience in Manufacturing or FMCG

* Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills

* MS Dynamics 365/SAP experience highly desirable

* Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail

* Client-facing and stakeholder experience with excellent communication skills

* Ability to manage competing priorities across dual reporting cycles

* Full UK driving licence
