Profile

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quality Engineer to join a growing engineering team at a well-established manufacturing business in Bridgwater. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional looking to take ownership of quality assurance and continuous improvement activities, with clear progression toward quality management responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

* Implement and maintain quality assurance processes in line with ISO 9001:2015

* Conduct inspections, audits, and reporting across the production lifecycle

* Develop and manage test protocols and quality documentation

* Investigate non-conformances, analyse data, and drive corrective actions

* Work cross-functionally to deliver continuous improvement projects

* Manage and support supplier quality activities and external evaluations

* Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including manuals and SOPs

* Support occasional UK and international travel to subcontractor or supplier sites

About You:

* Proven experience in a quality engineering or similar role within a manufacturing or technical environment

* Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 standards

* Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or equivalent problem-solving tools

* Strong analytical and reporting skills

* Excellent communication and attention to detail

* Comfortable working independently and across departments

* Willingness to travel as required

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum
Hours: 8:30am - 5:00pm (Monday-Thursday), 8:30am - 3:00pm (Friday) Hybrid working available
Contract Type: Permanent | Full-Time
