About our Client
The home is a warm and welcoming 21-bed residential care home located in the heart of Garnant village, just a short distance from Ammanford and Pontardawe. They provide both standard residential care and EMI (Elderly Mentally Infirm) care, with a strong emphasis on person-centred support and community values.

Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Manager to lead the team on a temporary basis. This is a key leadership role, responsible for maintaining high standards of care, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting our dedicated staff team during a period of transition.
Key Responsibilities: - Oversee the day-to-day operations of the care home.
- Ensure compliance with CIW (Care Inspectorate Wales) standards and all relevant legislation.
- Lead, support, and supervise a team of senior carers and care staff.
- Maintain and promote a person-centred care culture.
- Liaise with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies.
- Manage care planning, risk assessments, and safeguarding procedures.
- Support ongoing staff development and training.
Requirements: - Registered Manager status or eligibility to register with Social Care Wales.
- Proven experience in a managerial role within a residential or EMI care setting.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of CIW regulations and best practices in adult social care.
- Commitment to promoting the Welsh language and culture in care.
Desirable: - Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
- Welsh language skills (spoken and/or written).
- Experience managing temporary transitions or service improvements.
