Our client is specialised in the repair and rewind of rotating electrical equipment. We service and supply electrical equipment across a variety of market sectors and industries. Currently looking for 2 workshop technicians to join a busy hard working environment.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Steam Cleaning machines and parts
Dismantling the machines
Electrical Static Checks
Stripping out Stators
Reassemble of machines
Dynamic Testing
Prepare of machines for collection/dispatch
Basic maintenance of machinery, tooling and equipment.
Ensure excellent standard of housekeeping are maintained.
As a workshop operative, you should be, or have:
Technical Background and experience:

Excellent mechanical aptitude.

Experienced in gen-set knowledge desirable.

Experience in dismantling, stripping and rewinding of AC/DC motors, pumps…and other electro-mechanical equipment. Medium and high voltage equipment preferred but not essential training will be provided.

Experience in heavy vehicle maintenance type work desirable

Due to the nature of the business and the service offering of 24 hours support to the client base you will be expected to undertake some level of flexibility within the normal working pattern and be available to work outside of the normal working hours.

Essential skills and experience required:

have 5 years plus experience in electro-mechanical/genset repair service industry/heavy vehicle repair service industry
Inspection of gensets/alternators (electrically and physically)
Technical Report writing skills
Operating/Understanding test equipment (i.e.multi meters/ low reading ohm meters/ Mega Ohm Meters)
Dismantling/Re-assembling of alternators
Dynamic Testing
Use of hand tools
Clear understanding of health and safety in the workplace.
Full UK driving licence

Be able to work under pressure and to strict customer deadlines
Salary and Benefits:

Attractive salary upto £30k (dependant on experience) plus bonus share scheme MUST HAVE TIME SERVED.

Hours of Work

(Apply online only) and/or (Apply online only) hours Monday to Friday

Flexibility required to work overtime as and when required during week/weekends.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year (Based on experience)
