PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Under the direct supervision of the Warehouse Manager, this position will support all functions in the stockroom such as shipping, receiving, packing, picking, kitting, crating and issuing material. In addition to other general warehouse duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare shipping paperwork, pull the parts, package parts and ship transaction.
Receive the parts, verify the parts, review the purchase order and take action.
Pull parts, move it to shipping, verify the parts, package it for shipment to the customer.
Receive picking paperwork and process the job/sales order.
Kitting a job by following the job order created by planner, pull it, verify it, identify each part, tag each part when needed.
Use power tools to crate and ship equipment to customer site.
Generate a report from the computer in order to issue material.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
High School Diploma or equivalent degree related experience and/or training.
Must have a mechanical aptitude
Ability to operate a forklift truck and overhead and jib crane.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine correspondence.
Basic computer skills such as Microsoft office Outlook & Word
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly required to stand, frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk sit, climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near moving mechanic parts and in high, precarious places, and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
