Secondary Science Teacher (Temporary)

• Location: Bury
• Contract: Full-time, Temporary (September - December 2025)
• Pay: Main scale £168 - £232 per day

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join our secondary school team on a full-time temporary basis from September until the Christmas break. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified teacher to make a meaningful impact in a supportive and forward-thinking school environment. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and well-structured science lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. 
• Plan, prepare and assess students' work in line with curriculum requirements.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student learning.
• Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and parent-teacher consultations as required.
• Uphold the school's policies on safeguarding, behaviour and academic standards.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• UK recognised teaching qualification - PGCE with QTS or equivalent
• A degree in science-related subject
• Previous experience teaching in a UK secondary school setting
• Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to high standards
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
