Repairs Team Leader - London Borough of Tower Hamlets?? Location: London? Contract: 12 months?? Rate: £350 per day (Umbrella)

The London Borough of Tower Hamlets is seeking an experienced Repairs Team Leader to join our Housing Repairs Service on a 12-month contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a leadership role within a busy and dynamic team, helping us to deliver an excellent, customer-focused repairs service to residents.

• Lead, motivate, and support a team of repairs operatives and coordinators to ensure timely and effective service delivery.

• Monitor and manage day-to-day repairs operations, ensuring work is completed to the highest standard and within agreed timescales.

• Act as the first point of escalation for complex repair issues and customer queries.

• Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, council policies, and industry standards.

• Use performance data and reporting tools to drive service improvements.

• Work closely with contractors, stakeholders, and residents to maintain positive working relationships and high levels of satisfaction.

• Proven track record in managing or supervising a repairs/maintenance team within social housing or a similar environment.

• Strong knowledge of housing repairs, maintenance processes, and health & safety legislation.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work under pressure, prioritise workloads, and meet deadlines.

• IT literate, with experience using housing management or repairs systems.
