THE CLIENT
Our client is a leading global private equity firm with a strong European footprint. With a modern and centrally located office in Frankfurt, they operate a collaborative and high-performing culture. As they continue to grow and evolve, they are now looking for a diligent and proactive Finance Assistant to support their finance operations and administrative functions in Frankfurt.
THE ROLE
Reporting to the Finance Manager, this part-time (50%) role is ideal for someone highly organised, with a keen eye for detail and a can-do attitude. The Finance Assistant will be responsible for managing day-to-day finance-related tasks and general administrative support for the office. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to contribute in a meaningful way to a high-performing international team while maintaining flexibility in working hours.
KEY RESPONSILBILITES
- Maintaining accurate records of financial transactions
- Reviewing and verifying incoming invoices for accuracy and completeness
- Supporting the finance team with administrative tasks, including managing expense processes (via Pleo)
- Ensuring outgoing invoices are issued and distributed correctly
- Using Excel for basic financial tracking and reporting
- Archiving accounting documentation and maintaining audit-ready records
- Administering the Pluxee Benefit Card
Assisting with general administrative tasks, such as:
- Supporting IT issues and on-site projects (e.g. video conferencing setup)
- Preparing for meetings, managing guest relations and catering
- Managing the Reception inbox
- Printing, binding, and document management
- Acting as a point of contact for internal and external enquiries
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Previous experience in a finance-related role (not solely administrative)
- Sound understanding of accounting principles and invoice processing
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
- Minimum C2-level fluency in both German and English (spoken and written)
- No experience with advanced financial systems required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working in a similar role within a small to mid-sized business
- Familiarity with international invoicing practices is a plus
- Comfortable working with remote teams, particularly with colleagues in other European offices
