They are currently recruiting for an internationally focused Admissions Officer to join their team at the International College at Birmingham City University, starting with a work from home arrangement before moving to their College in the vibrant, city centre campus when it is safe and appropriate to do so. Longer term work from home arrangements will be considered.

This role will support Birmingham City University International College (BCUIC) on a 4-month contract. Following a successful recruitment into our September intake, they are keen to strengthen their teams in 2021, and the opportunity to secure a permanent role may become available.

They are looking for highly motivated people to join the admissions team, where you will be responsible for assessing and processing the university applications that we receive from potential students throughout the world. An understanding of the importance of excellent customer service, an ability to follow a detailed process, a strong work ethic and an ability to work as part of a team are all key elements of this role.

Our client's College team consists of staff from all over the world, in a variety of roles, supporting their students. With people from a whole range of different employment and education backgrounds, their office is certainly a diverse, challenging and exciting place to spend your working day. Language skills are by no means a requirement but a willingness to work with colleagues and customers from across the globe is essential.

About the Admissions Officer Role:

The Admissions Officer will facilitate the admissions function for the company, working for Birmingham City University International College (BCUIC) as well as the broader Admissions and Compliance teams.

The Admission Officer will work alongside team members to carry out the role of processing international student applications via a defined series of processes and systems, establishing strong links with College based colleagues and regional teams throughout the world.

Admissions Officer Responsibilities:

  • Student applications are responded to in line with defined service level agreements
  • Applications are assessed accurately and in accordance with the latest admissions requirements
  • Agents, students and regional teams are updated and kept abreast of developments at all times
  • Student interviews are carried out, recorded and communicated accurately
  • Sustainable and productive working relationships are developed with regional teams, the College, our University Partner and education advisors
  • Individual and team targets are achieved
